I just received some news about an interesting new free service:
“Palm and Yelp today announced the release of Yelp Mobile (mobile.yelp.com),
which has been optimized for Treo users to easily read what the local
community is saying about a specific business. Yelp Mobile allows users to
search for a particular local business, or browse for businesses by
location. This improved mobile-computing experience gives users immediate
access to the Yelp Community’s reviews before deciding where to eat, shop or
meet their friends.”
I gave it a try on my 650, but couldn’t find any places that have reviews associated with them. This is probably because I live in a really small town. Here are some screen shots so that you can get an idea of what the service can do.
