Those of you that have been following along on the iPod odyssey will be happy to know that yesterday DHL delivered one brand new, sealed in the box, 4th Generation 20GB iPod! YAY, our experiment worked! I opened it up to take pictures and make sure that it didn't say “www.freeipods.com” across the back (it did not), and then I stuck everything back in the box.
I hope that I am not jinxing myself, but the plan is to get the article written and posted for Friday. If it isn't done by then, it will definitely be Monday – so bear with me. I have a pesky day job that can sometimes get in the way. ;0)
The winner of the iPod, chosen from the eleven participants who responded back to the letter I sent, will be announced in the article.
Julie and a co-worker in Indiana will be drawing a name from a hat to make the final determination. Congratulations in advance to whomever it will be!
The only bad news is that the very nice Slappa iPod case that I received is a 3rd Generation version, so even though I am going to go ahead and send it, it isn't the correct case for this iPod. Sorry ya'll. :0/
If I get a 4th generation case in the future, I will send it on to the winner.

Speaking of Slappa – Kylin wrote to tell me that if you mention the “gadgeteer” code while checking out on that site, you will get 10% off. What makes this discount even better is that it works on top of any other promotions they happen to be offering at the site. Pretty cool!

Now for those of us that are participating in the Free Flat Screen experiment, things seem to have stalled out. I have done my part as have three others – but we still need five more of the twenty-something that registered to complete their requirements. If you are one of the twenty-something and you think that you have met yours – drop me an email and we'll see what we can do to make sure that you are being credited. The sooner we get it done, the sooner someone will be entered in a drawing to win a Flat Screen TV. If it never gets done, then I guess that will be the failed experiment. More news soon… :0)
