REVIEW – Sometimes, you just want to write a note on paper instead of tapping it into your phone. For those times, you can carry a small notebook in your bag or pocket, or you can attach the MOFT Snap Flow to the back of your iPhone. What is a MOFT Snap Flow? It’s a MagSafe notepad from MOFT that is currently on Kickstarter. Let’s check it out!
What is it?
The MOFT Snap Flow is a small MagSafe notepad that you can attach to the back of your iPhone or other phone (using the included magnetic ring sticker).

Design and features
The Snap Flow is basically an updated and miniaturized Trapper Keeper for your EDC that you can use to jot down notes with the included pen.
The MOFT Snap Flow comes in four colors, including one single-tone color, Misty Cove (shown here), and three two-tone colors: Misty Cove x Sapphire, Navy Blue x Beach White, and Taupe x Sunrise. The pen’s color is the same as that inside the notepad stand. There are four colors to choose from, including Misty Cove, Sapphire, Sunrise, and Beach White.
The Snap Flow is made of a nicely textured synthetic material.
It opens to reveal the left side, which is called the Canvas. This is where you can insert the included notepad. Their Kickstarter says that you can also use this side to hold up to 2 credit cards under the split flaps. I tried to insert two cards but wasn’t able to do so because I was afraid that I’d tear the plastic flaps.
The right side has a large flap that is called the Folder and that’s where you can stow used notes.
There’s another flap on top of the Folder flap that is called the Reminder section, and it works a bit like a clipboard where you can place a to-do list. A magnet in the flap keeps the note from slipping out.
The pen is a fun design element because it stays flat when not being used and folds when you need to use it.
The pen uses standard D1 refills that you can find on Amazon and other retail sites.
The folded triangle shape makes it decently comfortable to use for short writing tasks.
I’m kind of a pen snob and don’t really like how D1 pens write, but for quick notes, it’s not a big deal. It’s not like I’ use this pen or the MOFT Snap Flow to write my daily journal entries.
Here’s a look at the MOFT Snap Flow folded up with one notepad in place.
Here it is attached to the back of my iPhone 15 Pro Max. The Snap Flow has a magnet on the back, so it’s MagSafe compatible. The included stick-on ring makes this notepad compatible with non-MagSafe phones, too.
When in place, the Snap Flow opens backward from a traditional book, with the cover opening from left to right instead of right to left. It’s easier for right-handed people to use this case as they would most likely hold the phone in their left hand, flip the cover of the Snap Flow open with their left thumb, grab the pen with their right hand, fold it in their right hand, and start writing.
I’m a leftie and I found that it was awkward to do those same actions because I needed to juggle the phone from one hand to the other after I’ve opened the cover. Again, it’s not a huge deal, but it’s worth mentioning.
There’s another feature of the MOFT Snap Flow that’s not obvious… It has a built-in stand feature.
The stand unfolds to prop up your phone, as I show above.

What needs to be improved?

- Include a few extra notepads with the initial purchase
- Card holder feature too tight
Final thoughts
I like the design of the MOFT Snap Flow, but one thing that I immediately wondered about was buying additional notepads for it. Since each notepad only has 20 pages, prolific note-takers will need to replace the pads frequently. The Kickstarter campaign has an option to buy the Snap Flow with an add-on 16 pack of notepads and 16 pack of stickie pads for $59.
I really like the MOFT brand and other MOFT products that I’ve reviewed in the past. I also think that the Snap Flow is cute and useful, but it’s hard to recommend someone spend 50 bucks on it (when it goes retail). You can buy dozens of little spiral notepads at the dollar store for that much money, but those little spiral notepads won’t stick to the back of your iPhone, so there’s that.
