The Port Solar Charger from XD Design is designed to stick to a window and use the sunβs rays to power your gadgets.
This solar charger has a built-in battery that can be charged with a USB cable which will take about 2 hours or by sunlight which can take up to 20 hours. Yeah, you canβt be in a hurry π
The Port Solar Chargerβs built-in battery has a capacity of 1000mAh, so it wonβt fully charge your phone. But itβs better than nothing and itβs free power.
I am not sure how well a solar charger like this works, as it depends on how much sunlight is hitting the window itβs attached to. But it would be a cool way to power your devices for free if you frequently travel by train, plane, or automobile, or if you have a nice big window that gets a lot of sunlight.
The price of the Port Solar Charger, on the other hand, isnβt free. It is priced at $49.99. For more info head over to www.xd-design.com and you can buy one from Amazon.

I can see this causing people to lose their minds on an airplane. “OMG! He’s sticking something to the window! AND IT HAS A WIRE!”
Hmmm, good point. They need to make a flat one so the shade could be lowered over it. π
