I also realize that I need more than one of the same type of tool to ensure versatility especially since I often realize that I need to be a contortionist to get the job done. One of these critical tools is lighting, and having a versatile and effective work light goes a long way toward successfully handling a task in a reasonable time. Enter the Philotes M1 LED Work Light.

The Philotes M1 LED Work Light is made from ABS and is built tough to last. It features magnetic rotating ends and hooks that can be pulled out for use and put back in their slot when done. The LED light surface is on one side and extends almost the entire length of the main body of the light. There is a power button next to it. On the opposite side, there are the USB-C and USB-A ports and the LED charge level indicators for the built-in 52000mAh battery.
Performance
ThePhilotes M1 LED Work Light is a very bright light boasting 3000 lumens, and in my testing, I found it to be able to illuminate a large area. I had to use the lower brightness on a few occasions because the full brightness was too much for that task. The built-in 5200mAh battery lasted for all the tasks I needed to accomplish, some well over an hour. I did not test it in the rain or a wet environment, but I appreciate that it is waterproof since I am sure that I will be using it outdoors during the summer, and there will always be the chance it can get wet. It feels sturdy in my hands and I already dropped it twice with no resulting damage. My carelessness made the light fall since its surface provided a good grip. The rotating ends add a lot of flexibility, and the magnets on both ends allow me to position the light in ways that my other work lights cannot be used. I only used the hook on one occasion, but they are also a great part of the design of this light.
The photos below show my favorite place to charge the light. It is magnetically attached to one of the legs of my desk and stays there until I need to use it. The accessory USB outlet is a nice feature but not one I will likely use unless of course there is an emergency.
I needed to change the ceiling light in my office from the existing structure to a 6-panel Nanoleaf Skylight that I am also testing. I magnetically attached this Philotes M1 LED Work Light to one of the clamps on the overhead bar that sits above my desk and it provided excellent light for me to get the job done.

- I can’t think of anything I would change, but I guess a hard case for storage and carrying might be a nice touch
