REVIEW – I have spent the better part of the past 2 years working to resolve electrical issues in the home I purchased and to upgrade to new outlets, etc. With the cost of professional labor, there are some DIY projects that can be done to save quite a bit of $$$. When working with electricity, it is very important to be aware of the presence of a live circuit, and in some cases to determine the voltage. Having a simple and handy tester to confirm the presence of electricity and the voltage, is par for the course. In this review, I get the opportunity to test the Kaiweets VT500 Voltage Tester, and the Kaiweets HT100 Voltage Detector.
What is it?
The Kaiweets VT500 and HT100 are voltage/continuity testers that allow the user to detect the presence of voltage in a circuit and with the VT500 the actual amount of voltage present.

Both the Kaiweets VT500 and the VT100 Voltage testers are made of ABS/Plastic and have the control buttons on one of the long flat surfaces. The probes are on the front edge of the testers. Both take AAA batteries and both have screens that show the presence of voltage and both beep as an indication of a live continuous circuit. Both also have flashlights on the front.
Setup
The only setup required is to install a AAA battery in each tester.

Final thoughts
The Kaiweets VT500 and HT100 voltage testers are simple tools that are great to have at hand when working with electrical wiring/circuits. While people have different methods of ensuring that they know the amount of voltage in a circuit or if it is “live” or not, double-checking using a Voltage Tester/Detector is a great safety precaution.
