Crocs has given its Quick Trail Racer a fabric upgrade that should appeal to anyone who likes the sneaker’s outdoor look but wants a tougher upper. The Quick Trail Racer V2 Cordura replaces the original’s monomesh with Cordura ripstop, while keeping a Croslite midsole, a slip-on ankle and adjustable toggle laces.
The US price is $119.99, just $10 above the original Quick Trail Racer’s current $109.99 price. The Black/Carbon finish keeps things subdued, with burgundy lace loops and small white accents breaking up the dark upper.

More protection around the foot
The Cordura ripstop upper is the main reason to consider the V2. It’s designed for greater durability, and the rubber outsole extends over the front of the shoe to protect the toe. That’s a useful combination for an everyday sneaker that will brush against steps, pavement and the occasional rough path.
Underfoot, the Croslite midsole handles cushioning, with a separate rubber outsole meeting the ground. The photos show distinct tread areas at the heel and forefoot, along with a broad rubber wrap around the lower part of the shoe. Those details explain the trail-inspired appearance, although wet-surface grip and long-distance comfort still need a proper wear test.

The fit is easy to adjust: pull the laces through the toggle to tighten them, then release it when you need more room. The bootie-style ankle gives the shoe a slip-on opening, so there’s no bow to tie every time you head out. If conventional laces are one more thing you’d rather avoid, this is the detail you’ll probably appreciate most.
A familiar Crocs idea, in sneaker form
Crocs has explored outdoor styling before, including the BEAMS collaboration with webbing and a small heel pouch. This version puts the emphasis on the fabric, toe protection and adjustable fit. Its enclosed heel and low-key colors make it easier to picture with everyday clothes.

Keep expectations grounded if you’re shopping specifically for hiking footwear. The V2’s official description calls it outdoor-inspired, and doesn’t specify a waterproof membrane. Cordura branding on its own isn’t a reason to count on dry feet.
Crocs currently marks the US sizes as coming soon. Retailer FEATURE schedules its release for October 8 at $120, with all sales final. Check the selected size and the store’s terms before ordering.

For someone already considering the Quick Trail Racer, the $10 step up makes the Cordura version worth a look. You get an upper designed for greater durability without giving up the easy-adjust closure, and the quieter colorway gives it a straightforward place in an everyday wardrobe.
