NEWS – Every now and then, I get a clogged drain around the house and it always seems to be an ordeal dealing with it. I recently came across One Second Plumber’s Instant Drain Opener and it looked like a potentially easy way to tackle the problem without using chemicals.
It comes with a handle, two aerosol cans, a cap, and a universal adapter. How does it work?
Instructions:
- Invert the can over the blocked drain and make sure there is water in the blue cap.
- Plug any overflow or double sink drain.
- Firmly press down and release immediately.
- When the formula in the can is released and comes in contact with water, it expands rapidly, creating a standing wave and uses the water in the pipe to act as a ram pushing the blockage through. (Clears most blocked drains in seconds using a mixture of gasses.)
It is supposed to work on all sinks, toilets, bathtubs, drains, boats, RV’s, and septic systems.
Each can will give you up to 12 uses. There is a warning not to use this with chemical drain cleaners because the splashback can cause burns.
I’m not sure how well Instant Drain Opener works, but according to the Grommet reviews, most people were able to easily unclog their drains, but a few did not have any success. I have a feeling that this works best on total obstructions, although I can’t be sure.
The One Second Plumber’s Instant Drain Opener is available from the Grommet for $39.95. If you decide to give it a try, let us know what you think!
