REVIEW – When you think cool, geeky tech, what comes to mind? Friggen’ laser beams? Well, sure. But what else? Carbon fiber! Monocarbon, purveyor of all things carbon fiber offers a great business card holder encased in wonderfully geeky carbon fiber.
What is it?
This is a case for holding business cards. It is completely covered in flexible carbon fiber with stainless steel accents.
What’s in the box?
There is exactly one thing in the box – the carbon fiber business card holder. I included a photo of the box and the box’s sleeve because, in my less-than-humble opinion, they look great. This is some classy packaging and lends itself well to being a gift. I can see this as a business gift, or perhaps as a groomsman gift.

Design and features
The case is completely covered in tough and flexible black carbon fiber, and it looks terrific.
The inside the carbon fiber business card holder is covered in a soft-touch velvety material that feels like rubbery velvet. It is extremely soft and feels great. It also securely holds your business cards.
The bottom front edge and sides are finished in brushed stainless steel.
On the top, there is a magnet button that adheres solidly to the stainless steel.
Performance
I live in the largest retirement community in the country. Most of us carry business cards – we refer to them as lifestyle cards. When you meet someone, if you hit it off, exchanging cards is a quick way to provide your new friend all your contact information. Having a way to carry your cards is essential, especially in your golf cart or golf bag.
Out cards are on the thick side. Here are 15 of our cards and the card case.

If you have more traditional thinner cards, I expect 20 would fit without issue.
The smooth finish of the case makes slipping this into a pocket an easy task. The case opens easily with a flick and closes solidly. And, it looks terrific while doing all that. If you needed to hand out a card to a CEO in a board room or on the golf course, you’d look like a million bucks doing it with this card case.
