  • Powered by the smartphone connection, so no batteries are required.
  • Compact in size, just 3.75 inches (95 mm) square and 1.1 inches (28 mm) tall
  • One of GO:MIXER’s line-level inputs offers a selectable Center Cancel function, which reduces the volume of the main vocal in a music track that’s playing through the input. This is a great feature for singers, allowing them to create karaoke-style tracks on the fly.

Would you like to see us do more video reviews or do you prefer reading written reviews? — READING — I’m definitely not a video person
What is your favorite gadget topic? How to do things more efficiently
Are you a new visitor or a long time reader? New

  18. 1. I definitely prefer written reviews. Videos require an active attention for the whole thing so you don’t miss anything and it’s a pain to go back to catch something missed. They’re great to see things in action, but I’ll almost always start with a written review and move from there to video if it’s interesting enough. I’ll rarely start with video – I usually just skip that.

    2. Hard to say what my favorite topic is – cooking, portables, just something interesting. With the variety here, I’ll sometimes be surprised by something I hadn’t considered (like that “build a touchscreen computer kit” above).

    3. Longer-time reader.

  19. I still like written reviews but I’m not opposed to videos on the more in-depth gadgets.
I think my favorite subject you cover is there cell phone and tablet stuff. You keep me up to date with what works good and what to probably just skip.
And i have been a subscriber since about 2000. You provide great information and product reviews and always tell it like it is no comin company pay off so you’ll talk up there products just honest reviews. Thank you

  24. 1. I like written, video is fine as long as written as well.
    2. Like all gadgets but favorite would have to be music related.
    3. Long time reader.

  25. 1. I much prefer written reviews. I believe them to be more detailed, and I can read them at my own pace, easily jumping back if I need to.
    2. I like unique gadgets. It seems much of the thrill is gone – “Oh, another phone. Another bluetooth speaker.” Give me something in a category that hasn’t been reviewed 2 dozen times already!
    3. I’m a long time reader, and I come here every day.

  26. 1. I prefer reading written reviews
    2. My favorite gadget topic is Bluetooth devices like speaker, earbuds & headphones.

    -Newbie! Hi!!

  29. [Would you like to see us do more video reviews or do you prefer reading written reviews?]
Written. There are way too many videos, the written ones are easier/quicker to peruse.
    —–
[What is your favorite gadget topic?]
There is no bad gadget topic. All of them? 🙂
    —–
[Are you a new visitor or a long time reader?]

  30. Robert Frosolone

Would you like to see us do more video reviews or do you prefer reading written reviews?

I prefer written. Avid RSS user

What is your favorite gadget topic?

I’m a tinkerer. I’d love to see more gadgets that you can hack or tinker with.
Are you a new visitor or a long time reader?

I’m a newer visiter. Stumbled on the site.

  31. 1. Written reviews. Only watch videos that I can speed to double-time and see close captioned.
    2. Real reviews – something you’ve actually used & can really give pros & cons — favorites have been phones & cameras
    3. Long time reader. Your tweet and face book dependency is suspicious.

  32. I prefer written, but if it’s a flying gadget or moving gadget, then video rules!
Been a long time subscriber and I’ve bought a lot of stuff I’ve found on your site links.
I’m a flashlight, power bank, EDC fan

  33. Would you like to see us do more video reviews or do you prefer reading written reviews?
    – I am so opposed to video reviews that I would rather chew nails than watch them. Written ones are so much easier to skim through to get to the parts I’m interested in. If you do decide on video reviews, maybe you could do some sort of executive summary for those of us who won’t watch them?

What is your favorite gadget topic?
    – Bags, pens, computer-related, odd things you never knew you needed. Could use a few less photography and audio ones (useful, but seem to be a lot of them this last year).

Are you a new visitor or a long time reader?
    – Long time

  34. I seem to remember things better if I see them instead of reading them, so I prefer video reviews better. I love when I find a unique gadget review from you. We are a pretty techie family and I am always looking for new things to use and as gifts. I am a long time reader. I love all the products you introduce me to and your detailed reviews.

  35. 1. I like both types, but yes, more video reviews would be great.
    2. EDC and toys
    3. Very longtime RSS subscriber/reader

  36. 1) Would you like to see us do more video reviews or do you prefer reading written reviews?
I think that Video reviews are very helpful and show more of the product.
    2) What is your favorite gadget topic?
    Tech-type gadgets
    3) Are you a new visitor or a long time reader?
    I am a long-time reader!

  37. 1. I like video reviews. A picture is with a thousand words. A thousand pictures is worth… we’ll, a lot more than that.
    2. I like the video security subject as my favorite topic.
    3. I am a long time reader or The-Gadgeteer!

  38. 1-Prefer reading articles to watching videos.
2-Enjoy the Camera Gear section most.
3-Been reading your site since the days of the Palm Pilot.

    Subscribed to newsletter

  39. 1. I prefer reading written reviews but with pictures to capture different elements that the article is talking about.
    2. I like reviews on everyday accessible & decently priced items like cameras or bluetooth earbuds/phones or tablets but ones I’d actually go out and buy.
    3. Not new, but not long..somewhere in the middle.
