The other day someone asked me to name my favorite dash cam. I said that it’s currently the Magellan MiVue 658 HD dash cam because it has WiFi, GPS and a touchscreen. These are all features that are lacking on the majority of dash cams that are currently on the market. I then followed up by saying that although those features are great, Magellan makes you pay for them with a hefty $250 price tag. I provided a couple alternative dash cams without the extra bells and whistles, but today I found out that Swann (a company who is famous for their home security camera systems) is also selling dash cams and have just announced two new cameras. There’s the Economy HD Dash Camera which comes in with a thrifty $79.99 price and offers 1080P video, a 140° lens, and an HDMI output feature. Then there’s the smaller sized Navigator HD Dash Camera that offers a 140° lens, motion detection video recording, HDMI output and GPS. I know the Navigator doesn’t have WiFi or a touchscreen, but the GPS feature is the one you really want and you get all this for $149.99. That’s $100 less than the Magellan, so it’s worth considering. Visit Swann for more info.

Thanks for the review .. it’s a good option to be considered.
BTW, if you go to their website, these are in the Products page, under the “Mini Video” selection
Just to be clear, this wasn’t a review. I have not tried either camera. I just thought people would want to know about them…
Great find! Thanks Julie!
