I listen to the radio in my car, but that’s about the only place I can listen these days. I don’t have a radio in my house anymore, and my iPhone doesn’t have a built-in radio. With the 8 Pin Lightning Compatible FM Radio for iPhones and iPads from Allputer, you can listen to the radio anywhere. And this is conventional, over-the-air radio, not internet radio, so you won’t be burning through your data plan. The unit has a push button to scan through stations, and it has an earphone jack so you can listen directly from the device. However, the radio is powered by your iOS device, so you’ll have to have it plugged in to listen. You can also download an app to control the unit, which might make it easier to tune in your favorite radio station. It’s compatible with the iPhone 5/5s/5c, the iPad 4 and iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display. It’s available in white for $27.35.

I just received mine today. Works OK. Free (as in data free) radio.
I wish the app was more advanced.
What app is used specifically for this
On the Lightning fm radio for iPhone,
1)will it work with a LIFEPROOF case on? If not is there an 8 pin adapter extension available?
2) how long will a full charged iPhone battey last with contionious Lightning fm radio use?
3) Do you have to remove the Lightning fm radio or can u just turn it off to listen to iPhone apps (calls, loaded music,WiFi or streaming music,…) thru the earbuds?
4) You download the app to have the display on your iPhone?
I just ordered one, and they are now $39.95 plus shipping. I am assuming that it feeds the station into the iPhone, because I plan to use it to feed the sound from my iPhone to my hearing aids.
Will this item function on iPhone 8 plus? And can I listen with wireless headphones?
Thanks in advance
