Japanese design company &design have created a unique alarm clock that is shaped like a bird. The Bird Clock is made of wood and can be mounted on the wall or on the included base. The back has an LCD that displays the time, but the idea is that you just use the LCD to help you set the current time and set the alarm. Once set, you turn the clock around and it becomes a cute art piece that will also wake you up with the sounds of chirping birds instead of blaring buzzers or ring tones. When you tap the bird it silences the alarm and speaks the current time. The Bird Clock is available through Grand St. for $40.
