If your lunch is as important to you as it should be, you probably want to protect it from possible mayhem. Norwegian based Unikia offers all sorts of innovative products, but their unique variety of food containers is what first caught my eye. The Compleat Robust is a lunch box that features an impact resistant shell, a spacious interior that should be big enough to hold a large meal, and there’s also a liquid-proof inner box. A bungee strap system on the back of the box can be used to hold a water bottle or thermos (which is not included with the purchase of the Compleat Robust lunch box). The price is €34.95 with shipping to the US €17.00. Add in VAT and the grand total is €51.95. That’s $68.62 in US dollars. Ouch… I’m not sure that my lunch is that important to me after all. A paper bag works just fine…

I need to start looking for a lunch carrier device soon. I start a new job on Tuesday which does not have ease of external lunching. So I’ll be in the market for something a little more advanced then ye’ol paper bag.
@Drew I use a PackIt lunch bag. You stick the whole bag in the freezer. It works great.
@Julie, I just checked that out and will be ordering one as they have a back to school special now to get one free. I think they are perfect for the grand kids lunches at school. Thanks!
@Dawn please let me know what you think of them once you get them. I’m curious if they are worth the price.
@Julie, I don’t think I will be ordering them. I checked the reviews at Amazon on them. Their website charges shipping so the total order ends up to be a little over $32. People are saying they do not keep the food ice cold, just check the one star reviews. Some are saying that within 5 hours, it sweat inside to where things were very wet, and warm because the gel thaws out. The reviews are just not that great.
The one thing they did say was they continue to use it because it is easy to use, once piece and convenient. I am glad I checked the reviews over there. I think it might be good if you took it to work and put it in a fridge.
@Dawn Glad you researched it more before placing an order. I’ll continue to use my Packit lunch bag which works wonderfully! You might want to check them out.
