Drop test: Samsung Galaxy S3 vs. iPhone 4s

SquareTrade is a company that offers extended warranties for high end electronic devices like cameras, tablets, smart phones, etc. This video from them shows the damage that happens when a shiny new Samsung Galaxy S3 and an iPhone 4s are subjected to 3 of the most common accidents: dropped to pavement from ear level, in the hands of young children, and accidentally left on the hood of a car. I have to warn you folks, that this video is tough to watch. I think I shed a tear or two… really.  If watching this video inspires you to purchase an extended warranty for your phone, $89 will cover a 64GB iPhone 4S for 2 years and $124.95 will cover a typical Android phone for 2yrs. A $50 deductible applies to all claims, but you can collect up to 4 times for damage from spills, drops and even normal wear and tear.

  2. SquareTrade is GREAT!!! I have over 50 active warranties with them and they HONOR them when claim is filed. I know from having products insured either replaced or money given for EXACTLY what you paid excluding sales taxes. Also SquareTrade has discount codes. Just ‘Google’ for them.
