For those of you that read my reviews, you’ve probably seen me mention the fact that I’ve been carrying a WaterField wallet for the past 5 years. I’ve loved the shape, and style and that it has a zipper that keeps the contents from falling out. On numerous occasions, I’ve zipped my iPhone inside so that I would only need to carry one thing in my hand as I went out to lunch or shopping. The only thing missing has been a way to see and interact with my phone while it was housed in the wallet. WaterField just solved that problem and I’m really excited about it. Their new iPhone Wallet takes their original design and adds a special iPhone 3G, 4, 4S section with a play through window so that you can see an alarm or respond to a text message. Now you can protect your cash, credit cards and iPhone in one zip up leather wallet. Offered in Black or Brown, the iPhone wallet will cost $39 and be available for shipping on 10/31.

  2. @Dmitriy – Thanks for the comment. You can actually answer without taking it out of the case. And the area for the phone is lined with Ultrasuede so the zippers won’t harm it.

  3. @Heidi – Should make a small hole for the headphone to feed through and a mesh pocket on the other side to store the headphone.

  4. Pretty cool. Although in going to the site, I noticed the iPhone Hint so I’m going to give that a shot. I’m a minimalist, and the Smart Case was a bit too bulky for me.

  5. Sorry guys, but nothing can compare with my all leather iPhone case/wallet made by Piel Frama. It holds my phone, a few cards and bills and can clip on my belt, if I like. It is totally headphone, recharge, volume control and camera lens accessible. Plus, it comes in gorgeous colors so I never have to worry about it blending into the background and getting lost.

    1. @Gail Piel Frama makes nice cases, but I don’t care for cases with flaps and for the most part, I really don’t care to use a case at all with my iPhone. What I like about this new Waterfield wallet is that I can SEE and interact with my iPhone while it’s in the wallet. I’d use this feature while I was at lunch with the wallet next to me on the table, or while shopping or carrying the wallet. But for all other times, the phone is going to be out of the wallet and naked. I see it as more of a carrier than an actual all-the-time case. But that’s just me.
