  • Donald Matlock May 6, 2011, 9:33 pm

I drive semi and have been wanting something like this to turn into time lapse videos to share with my children so they can see basically what I see as I work.

  • Bruce Brown May 6, 2011, 9:52 pm

To post videos of idiot drivers on YouTube. Why else?

  • Hollie Millard May 7, 2011, 2:20 am

I would use my new CarCam device to have idle conversations with some of my neighbors and to catch other ones breaking and entering. I would love that.

  • Hollie Millard May 7, 2011, 2:23 am

O sorry. I thought it was a spy camera/motion detector. I would use when I travel on vacation.

  • Alan May 7, 2011, 8:37 am

I could do with one of these having had two very close encounters with idiots just recently one cut me up at the traffic lights the other I met on my side of the road on a blind bend ;(

  • Dave Etchells May 7, 2011, 12:35 pm

  • Fred Raimondi May 7, 2011, 1:25 pm

I want to use it to settle arguments with my wife over my driving! She says I’m terrible, I think I’m a great driver.

  • Stephen Levey May 7, 2011, 1:33 pm

This is exactly what I have been looking for. I was in an accident where the other was 100% at fault, which they addmitted at the scene only to deny later, I have now been fighting my ins. company for months re: fault. Since this began I bought a windshield mount & have been using a hodgepodge of components to video everything… This would be a great solution. Thank you for the opportunity.

Hi Julie- Thank you and Etronixmart for the chance to win!

I have a teen driver preparing to take to the road and would love to use this to help persuade him to make good decisions. I’m also curious about how my insurer would feel about a discount for young drivers using items such as this!

    I registered at Etronixmart as D a r r i n O t t

    i also set up an account with twitter as @ m u s t r e g i s t e r

It’s time that a my age (76) I can finally learn to use modern technology and hopefully help people benefit from recording what
I see and how I interpret what I see

  • alan segal May 7, 2011, 4:33 pm

I would use this to watch how my kids drive. Also useful in case of an accident, or seeing some crime in progress!

  • Melanie Kramme May 8, 2011, 4:30 am

I love to camp with my Honda Element. If I could record my adventures perhaps others can see through my eyes the beauty of this country.

  • Nancy Kramer May 8, 2011, 9:28 am

I would use it to monitor my grandchildwhen riding in the car in his car seat.

  • Carla Caswell May 8, 2011, 2:33 pm

I test drive and deliver vehicles. I have mounted cameras in the vehicles only to have them ALL fail miserably at night no matter the setting or lighting. The Etronix CarCam seems very promising.

  • lloyd May 9, 2011, 1:30 am

I’d use this to track mine and my brother’s driving habits.

  • Diane Green May 9, 2011, 2:09 pm

I am so excited about this because I had a conversation yesterday saying I miss filming so many things because I do not have a car cam. I love the day/night feature. I have been out of work and my family has had serious financial problems so buying anything we don’t essentially need is out of the question. I want to be a writer/photographer and I need to build up my portfolio .
    Thank you,
    Diane Green

  • Michael May 9, 2011, 7:30 pm

I think I would install this in my teenagers car & use it to monitor safe driving! Thanks, michael wiener.

  • Craig Huang May 10, 2011, 12:42 am

My sons are really into exotic cars-like Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Aston Martins. I would use it to take videos of cool exotic cars that are passing me on the highway.

  • George Bacher May 10, 2011, 1:56 am

I would use the cam to see anything/one behind my pickup truck.

  • David Feagin May 10, 2011, 10:11 am

I will start a website or blog to post the daily events that happen when I drive to and from work. I drive a small car and the people who drive large trucks, vans and other crossover vehicles act as if I was not there. Even though I have developed a much safer driving habits, I have at least 2 close calls a week.

Update: The winner is #6 Bruce Brown.
