A good light source is something everyone needs – not just gadget-lovers. Maybe you have a hobby that requires the use of both hands, like fly-tying or jewelry making. Maybe you get a flat-tire at night and don’t have AAA – and no one to hold a flashlight so you can see to change the tire. Whatever your need, the ICON Irix II can shed some light on it. The lightweight polymer body contains 5 high-efficiency LEDs. The Irix II is powered by a single AA alkaline battery (included); ICON says you can expect up to 100 hours from a battery. Light output is adjustable from 5 to 50 lumens; range is 6.5 to 49 feet. The headband is adjustable for a comfortable fit. I found the ICON Irix II available at Radio Shack for $29.99.

I would suggest that you consider a much better value for a headlight. The Fenix HL20 is waterproof, puts out 105 lumens throws a beam 210 feet and cost only a few dollars more. It also operates on a single AA battery. Here is the link. http://www.fenixgear.com/flashlight/Fenix_HeadLamp_HL20.html#catalog/img/8000-x20L0.jpg
I have several of their flashlights and they are all amazing. Very high quality, exceptional output, and all great values.
