In case you missed it, yesterday Apple announced this summer’s release of iPhone OS 4. With this update, Apple is touting 1500 new developer APIs and 100+ user new features including the long-awaited multi-tasking of 3rd-party applications. Other new features include folder organization of up to 2160 apps, a 5x digital camera zoom, an improved email inbox and iBooks capability. iPhone OS 4 will begin shipping on the iPhone and iPod touch “this summer” and on the iPad “this fall”; however, not all features will be available with all models, see the Apple site for more, including a keynote video from Steve Jobs.

Yes !!!
NO multitasking on the 3G or earlier:
“In other words, owners of the iPhone 3G, iPhone 2G, and first or second generation iPod touch models will not be able to multitask.”

Loving the OS 4.0 beta SDK. Much more streamlined and so much more APIs!!
Apple has also dictated what languages developers must use..leaving out all cross-platform tools.
Could have lived without iAd. I have paid for the phone, now I HAVE to have ads… wasn’t bad enough had to use ATT…
