Although it looks very much like a cassette tape recorder I had years (and years) ago, the iRecorder is actually a speaker for iPhone 4/4S and 5/5S.  (It should work with any audio source with a 3.5mm jack, but the cassette compartment fits the iPhones.)  You plug the speaker’s 3.5mm audio cable into the iPhone, and the buttons on the speaker work to control playback on the iPhone.  It’s powered by 3 AA batteries or by USB power, if you provide your own cable.  It has a pull-out handle for portability, too.  It’s available in red for $50.00 from Fancy.

  2. Wow, seeing that brings back memories. My sister and I used to record the top 40 on Sunday afternoons. We’d sit on her bed with each of our recorders and would manually record the songs off the radio. Fun times…
