Anyone who’s sat working with a laptop computer on their legs for any length of time realized how much heat they put out. The heat can cause permanent damage and discoloration to the skin on your legs, and it can even adversely affect male fertility. It’s not just heat you have to worry about, though. Laptops emit various radiations that can impact anyone’s well-being. You shouldn’t keep your laptop directly on your lap, whether you’re male, female, a growing child, or a pregnant woman. The DefenderPad Laptop Radiation Shield claims its “state-of-the-art technology blocks nearly 100% of electromagnetic low-frequency (ELF) radiation, radio frequency (RF) radiation, and heat radiation.” It weighs 2.2 pounds, and it is 15.8″ X 11″ X 0.25″ and accommodates laptops with up to a 17″ screen. It’s available in black, blue, or pink for $89.99 at DefenderPad.

That’s something that’s very useful since everyone puts their laptops on their laps. The heat from underneath kinda creeps up on you and you don’t feel it because you’re typing away but it can burn people and as you mentioned the fertility issue, which is a proven fact.
The talk of radiation makes it sound hokey – the worst laptops can put out is WiFi.
