Logitech is expanding their line of keyboard cases for the iPad and iPad mini with their new Keyboard Folio cases. The cases will have a fabric exterior available in a variety of colors (color selections may vary by region). Hidden magnets keep the case securely closed to protect the touchscreen when you aren’t using the iPad, and they work with the iPad’s sleep/wake functions, just as a Smart Cover does. The Bluetooth keyboards inside have rechargeable batteries that can go 3 months between charges (based on 2 hours of use/day). The Keyboard Folio for iPad (2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen) even has full-sized keys for a more natural typing experience. The Keyboard Folio for iPad mini may have a smaller keyboard, but the keys are laid-out in a traditional arrangement, so they are where you expect them to be for touch typing. Both keyboards have iPad-specific function keys. The Keyboard Folio for iPad is expected in April; you can pre-order now for $99.99. The Keyboard Folio for iPad mini is expected in May; pre-order now for $89.99.
