Last January, we told you about the SpareOne cellphone (see related links) that runs on a single AA battery and provides up to 10 hours talk time and 15 years standby time. This year, the SpareOnePlus phone launches with even more features. The Plus model adds “include a location-based service which identifies the exact location of the cell ID, accessible through a free smartphone app, as well as audible numeric feedback which reads the number dialed and incoming calls aloud.” It will be available in Flat Black or Matte Silver; both models have a red battery screen and both come with a talk-through, resealable waterproof bag. The SpareOnePlus will be available in early 2013; the original SpareOne is still available for $99.99.
