From Gnarboards comes comes a range of electric skateboards available in three models: Commuter, Road Warrior and Trail Rider. The boards will do up to 28 miles per hour with a maximum 21 mile range, based on a 2 hour charge time. Control is via a hand controller that allows you to accelerate, coast or break.
Is it just me or are we just making our kids lazier and lazier? When I was growing up, it wasn’t unusual to walk, ride my bike, skateboard or rollerskate long distances to get where I wanted to go. It appears that these days we need to add an electric engine to all these modes of transport. Hokay, I can see that it’s a greener alternative than using a car or even a bus but……….
Prices are $4800 for The Commuter, $5500 for the Road Warrior and $6100 for the Trail Rider. Each Gnarboard is made to order in limited batches, so there may be up to a 16 week wait if you order one.

Don’t know about being lazier, but if they can afford to buy one of these…then they are definitely richer.
imagine all the cars you could buy with $5k. and they carry your significant other too – plus some groceries if need be. for much, much more than 21 miles. heck, you could even go visit places with a 5k car…
$5000 is too expensive if a $1000 then I may considered buying it.
