powerdvd for android tabletsWith PowerDVD Mobile v3.0 on your Android tablet (running Android 3.0 and above) and PowerDVD on your Windows PC, you can seamlessly connect and easily share, play and download media.  You can access your PC’s multimedia content from the tablet or stream content from the PC to the tablet.  Use your tablet to playback your favorite videos, music and photos wherever you are, or you can stream content from your tablet to your DLNA television.  PowerDVD Mobile acts both as a viewer and a librarian for your movies, music, and photos on your tablet.  It also works with the device’s camera to snap pictures or capture a movie.  With PowerDVD Mobile, you can also push movies, music, and photos to another tablet and save MP4 (H.264/AAC) videos, music and photos from other devices to PowerDVD Mobile.  Depending on the other apps and services you have for your tablet, you can even share your multimedia content on Facebook or YouTube.  PowerDVD Mobile v3.0 is $19.99 in the Android Market, and PowerDVD for your PC is a separate purchase (available at the above link).

  2. I find it completely idiotic the way that PowerDVD and many others, price their products. At worst it is a shabby way to get people to your site; and then you learn that you have to buy another module so the app will work. One is useless without the other. They why do they sell them singly – why not bite the bullet and say the app is $29 or $39 or whatever the combined price is. I feel much better doing business with a company that is up front.

  3. My content is sitting on a NAS, connected to my wireless router.

    This serves content to my TV no probs, and to my android phone and tab. I use ES File Explorer to connect to the WLAN, and use Mobo to view the video. ES can transfer files between network shares, audio/video and any other file type you wish. This works a treat, is FAR less costly, and far more versatile than this offering from bloatware provider PowerDVD.
