In fact, neither will just two

You really need three

The Painters Pyramids ($4.77 for 10)  are one of those “hey why didn’t I think of that” items that are not only as useful as they seem, but are also kind of cute.  Besides painting, they could hold other still life gadgets being photographed for family albums or The-Gadgeteer.

These little pyramids are very useful, but the photo showing them in use defies gravity. You’ll need three or more to balance a board. Also paint may pool up at the apex so you want to make sure that the piece you are painting has no excess paint on the underside.

If you look closely at the picture, you can see more than two pyramids per board, the one in front seems to seat on 4 pyramids.
