We told you about the Child Pad from Archos a couple of months ago. This 7″ compact tablet runs Android 4.0 “Ice Cream Sandwich”, and it’s powered by a 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. The interface features colored icons and folders, and the tablet is pre-loaded with games (like Angry Birds), apps, and books. You can add new apps from the Kids App Store, powered by AppsLib, which is filtered down to kid-friendly games, entertainment, communication, books, multimedia, and more. The 4GB os storage is enough to hold five movies, 40,000 photos, or 2,000 songs. The new model has access to “specific ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks 3’ content provided by 20th Century Fox, such as exclusive behind-the-scenes clips, pictures taken for the movie, wallpaper, and an online game.” It also includes a pre-loaded “6-month parental-control application for child-safe web browsing powered by Editions Profil, which is ranked as the most efficient parental control in worldwide benchmarks.” The Alvin and the Chipmunks-themed Child Pad is $129.99.
