The Concussion Recognition and Response app for iPhone and iPad was developed by a couple of physicians, and it can help coaches determine the severity of a head injury. When a player is injured, a series of yes/no questions about the injury and symptoms – headache, vomiting, dizziness, etc – help determine if a concussion is a possibility. The app can advise if a concussion is suspected or if a player can return to the game, send information to a physician, and describe at-home care for the injured player. The app is $3.99 in the iTunes app store.
