10. CARLUEX AIR Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto Adapter review – a clever way to go wireless or even standalone
By Matt Gregersen
Matt found this gadget a useful addition to his vehicle as it allowed him to store maps and music playlists on the device instead of his phone among other useful functions.
Where to buy: Carleux
9. Epson EcoTank Photo ET-8550 All-in-One Wide-format Supertank Printer review – now anyone can print beautiful detailed photos

6. PLAUD NOTE review – ChatGPT empowered AI voice recorder
By Julie Strietelmeier

5. The Phantom folding utility knife opens 3 ways!
By Julie Strietelmeier
Yet another knife related article. Do I sense a theme? I liked this one because it uses utility blades. Since I don’t really know how or want to learn how to sharpen a knife (yet), I like utility knives because it’s so easy to replace the blades. I guess others like that feature too.
Where to buy: Indiegogo on Demand
4. Urbanix is a tiny EDC multi-tool for your keychain
By Julie Strietelmeier
This little carabiner was a Kickstarter campaign that was suspended before it was completed. Oh oh, I guess they did something naughty. I wasn’t able to find out the details…
3. The Gerber Prybrid combines a utility knife, a prybar, and more
By Julie Strietelmeier
The Gerber Prybrid combines a utility knife, a prybar, and more
This is the fourth knife on the list so you know what that means. Knives are cool, useful, and popular with Gadgeteer readers, that’s what it means. This one is a little multi-tool utility knife from the popular brand Gerber.

Govee Galaxy Light Projector Pro review – a decent if overpriced space themed light projector
Matt made the list twice this year. This time for a unique projector for astronomy fans with lots of disposable cash.
Where to buy: Govee or Amazon
1. Think you’re unique? Find out with HowManyOfMe.com
by Garry Kolb
This is the most-read article on The Gadgeteer for 2024. The crazy thing is that Garry wrote this article back in 2021 AND the site HowManyOfMe.com isn’t even a site anymore! With over 22,000 views this year (115 views today!), it keeps getting traffic for some weird and unexplainable reason. I guess it just goes to show that people want to know more about themselves.
Thanks to all our loyal readers who continue to visit The Gadgeteer daily and those who subscribe to the newsletter! I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I can’t wait to see what 2025 has to bring when it comes to gadgets, tech, and gear. Will EDC-related content still be popular, or will another category take over? Time will tell. -Julie
