CROWDFUNDING NEWS – Every Gadgeteer loves gizmos and gadgets. Combining them into unlikely solutions was the artistic inspiration for Rube Goldberg. The board game Mousetrap brought that creative opportunity to the game-playing masses. Makeway has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to let you do a little of that creative magic yourself on any magnetic vertical surface in your home.
The Makeway system allows you to create vertical tracks on refrigerators, file cabinets, whiteboards, and other magnetic surfaces for marbles to run. There are multiple tracks and mechanisms available, including straight and curved tracks, stairs, edge drop-offs, corners, pivots, spinners, lifts and so on.
You build your structure on your wall, designing it so that a marble will run the entire track. You are really only limited by your imagination and vertical space.
You can even create design challenges. This would be great for college roommates and even small office competitions.
The Makeway system will be offered in silver and gold to fit into your specific decor.
Pricing starts at $49 and goes up to $199, based on the complexity of the system you want.
They just launched on Kickstarter and have already passed $177,000 funding on a $10,000 goal, with over $75,000 coming in over a one-day period as I edited this! This project closes on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at 8:04 AM EDT. I actually watched the funding go up as I wrote this article.
If you have that creative drive, check out their Kickstarter campaign for more information and a ton of cool videos.

I paid $200 2 years ago for one of your largest sets. Still nothing. I understand delays especially during these times but…. 2 years. So is this real or did I lose $200 in a scam?
