Buying a $1,999 foldable iPhone creates an unusual problem: you can order a case for it before Apple will even let you preorder the phone.
Apple introduced the iPhone Duo on September 9, but preorders do not open until October 16, with availability beginning October 23 in the first wave of markets. Even Apple’s own $79 iPhone Duo Case and $129 Folio with Kickstand will not be available to order until October 16.
Third-party case makers are not waiting. Spigen, TORRAS, PITAKA, SANDMARC, and Benks already list iPhone Duo cases with active Add to Cart options. That does not necessarily mean every case will ship immediately, so check the manufacturer’s delivery estimate before ordering. But if you want protection ready before your iPhone Dua arrive0, these five options are worth considering.
1. Spigen Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit
A foldable adds one costly component to protect in a drop: its hinge. Spigen’s Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit addresses that directly with a dedicated hinge protector rather than leaving the spine exposed.
Spigen currently lists the case at $69.99 with an active Add to Cart option. That distinction matters because Spigen lists the Slim Armor Pro Mag Fit separately as a preorder with an estimated 45-business-day shipping window.

The Tough Armor Pro combines polycarbonate and TPU, with Spigen claiming Air Cushion drop protection, raised edges around the screen and cameras, and full hinge coverage. Spigen also says its redesigned hinge protector can lie completely flat when the iPhone Duo is opened.
There is a magnetic array for compatible accessories, though Spigen warns that some MagFit accessories may not work with the hinge cover. That is a trade-off worth considering before prioritizing maximum hinge coverage.
Who it’s for: Pick the Tough Armor Pro if protecting the iPhone Duo’s hinge matters more than keeping the device as thin as possible.
2. TORRAS Ostand Q3 VegSkin
A foldable already gives you a small tablet when opened, which makes a built-in stand considerably more useful than it might be on a conventional phone.
TORRAS lists its Ostand Q3 VegSkin for the iPhone Duo at $79.99 in Deep Blue, Amber Brown, and Pearl Grey, with an Add to Cart option currently available.
Its defining feature is the integrated Ostand. Rather than carrying a separate kickstand or grip, you can prop the iPhone Duo up for videos, FaceTime calls, reading, or working at a desk. TORRAS also advertises N52 magnets, full hinge coverage, reinforced protection, and a stand designed to work with the phone folded or unfolded.

Those durability and magnetic-performance figures are manufacturer claims rather than independent test results, so the case is best judged by its more tangible benefit: it combines a case, magnetic mounting system, and stand in one accessory.
That is especially useful with the iPhone Duo’s larger inner display. If you are paying for a foldable partly because you want a pocketable mini-tablet, being able to stand that screen up without another accessory makes practical sense.
Who it’s for: Choose the TORRAS if you expect to spend a lot of time watching video, taking calls, or using the iPhone Duo unfolded on a desk.
3. PITAKA iPhone Duo Edge Case
The downside of adding protection to a foldable is that you are adding material to a device that is already thicker when closed than a conventional iPhone.
PITAKA takes the opposite approach from Spigen with its iPhone Duo Edge Case. Its 600D Black/Grey version is currently listed at $59.99 with an active Add to Cart option.

The case supports MagSafe and includes PITAKA’s PitaTap Camera Control solution. PITAKA also makes durability claims for its materials, but this is not the model to buy if your main priority is maximum drop or hinge protection. Its appeal is preserving more of the iPhone Duo’s original shape.
On a foldable, extra material is more noticeable when the phone is closed. Keeping the case thin can therefore make a meaningful difference to pocketability.
Who it’s for: Choose PITAKA if you want scratch and everyday protection without turning Apple’s folding iPhone into a much bulkier device.
4. SANDMARC Pro Leather Case
Not everyone wants to wrap an expensive titanium foldable in a rugged plastic shell. SANDMARC offers a more traditional alternative with its Pro Leather Case for iPhone Duo.
The black version is currently listed at $59.99 with an active Add to Cart option. SANDMARC says the case is made from full-grain leather with a microfiber lining and metal buttons, and it weighs about 40 grams.

SANDMARC says the full-grain leather will develop a patina over time. In practical terms, the surface is meant to change with use rather than stay factory-new, which may be either a feature or a drawback depending on your preferences.
It is not the heavy-duty pick in this group. Instead, it is for someone who wants protection without making the iPhone Duo look like outdoor equipment.
Who it’s for: Choose the SANDMARC if material quality and feel matter as much as protection, particularly if you already use SANDMARC mobile-photography accessories.
5. Benks ArmorGrid Air Grand Combo
Benks takes a different approach by selling its iPhone Duo protection as a three-piece package rather than simply a rear shell.
The ArmorGrid Air Grand Combo is currently listed at $119.99 in Obsidian Black and Beyond Blue, with active Add to Cart options. Benks says the system includes a front-frame case, a tempered-glass protector for the cover display, and a rear case.
The case uses Kevlar-branded material and is intended to provide exterior protection without adding the bulk of a traditional rugged foldable case. The important limitation is the hinge: Benks says this first version does not include a hinge guard.
Best all-in-one protection package

That is a meaningful distinction from the Spigen and TORRAS options. You get the front screen protector as part of the package, but the iPhone Duo’s hinge remains exposed. Benks says a version with reinforced hinge coverage is planned, but that is a future product rather than something buyers should assume is included today.
At $119.99, this is also the most expensive option here. The higher price is easier to justify if you would otherwise buy a cover-screen protector separately.
Who it’s for: Choose the Benks if you want a coordinated case-and-cover-screen-protector package and do not mind leaving the hinge exposed.
Which iPhone Duo case should you buy?
The best choice depends on what you want to protect most.
The Spigen Tough Armor Pro Mag Fit is the strongest option if hinge coverage is your priority. The TORRAS Ostand Q3 VegSkin makes the most sense if you will frequently use the unfolded iPhone Duo for hands-free viewing. PITAKA’s Edge Case prioritizes thinness, while the SANDMARC Pro Leather Case is the premium-material option. The Benks ArmorGrid Air Grand Combo bundles exterior case protection with tempered glass for the cover display.
Before ordering, check the maker’s delivery estimate and return policy. A product page that accepts orders does not necessarily mean the case will ship immediately, especially around a major iPhone launch.
That is also why Apple’s own cases are not on this list. Apple says its iPhone Duo Case and Folio with Kickstand will not become orderable until October 16, the same day iPhone Duo preorders open.
For a device starting at $1,999, having a case ready when the iPhone Duo arrives may be one of the few launch-day preparations that genuinely makes sense.
