REVIEW – The AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker takes a more practical approach to portability than most compact speakers. Its built in magnet and waterproof design make it easy to place where you are already working or relaxing, rather than forcing it onto a table or shelf. In everyday use, it feels less like a speaker you set down and more like one that quietly fits into whatever you are doing.

Design and features
Portable speakers are awesome! There are so many different options depending on how you want to listen. The AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker is designed for portability. From its small size to the strong magnet (as indicated on the speaker back), to the heavy-duty loop, the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a take-it-anywhere speaker. Throw in the fact that it’s waterproof and floats, this little speaker is meant to go all the places!
The AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker is shorter than my iPhone 16 Plus and would easily fit inside a sling bag, or better yet, clipped to the outside of it. It is surrounded by a thick rubber bumper, and I can say with certainty that it can survive a fall from about 10 feet without any problem or noticeable marking. There is a single USB-C port behind a secure rubber housing.

The light effect adds a whimsical and cool touch. I list the different effects below in the Performance section.
Assembly, Installation, Setup
No assembly required! Simply press the Power button and then the Bluetooth button to pair.

Performance
I’m not an audio engineer, nor do I have the proper equipment to test audio performance, so I rely on how it sounds to me. Just because of physics, the sound quality of something this small is not going to be as great as something much larger, like some of the units reviewed by my colleagues listed below, but for its size, the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker sounds pretty good, especially at higher volumes, where smaller devices tend to get very muddy. Voices were clear and not muddled.
Something fun at this size is the lighting effects. You toggle through the effects by pressing the Light button.
- Power on default: blue-green gradient
- 1st press: changes to rapid flashing gradient lights
- 2nd press: each color flashes and then changes to the next color
- 3rd press: cyan solid light
- 4th press: pink solid light
- 5th press: yellow solid light
- 6th press: orange solid light
- 7th press: purple solid light
- 8th press: lights off

Final thoughts
So I had a lot of fun using the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker!
I attached it to the workbench I have my laser engraver on to listen to tunes while working on a project.
I did a little tailgating as I was putting some stuff together in the back of my truck,
I didn’t lift my weights, but the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker attaches to the dumbbell stand.
I used it while outside grilling.
We listened to some music as we ate under the gazebo.
I had a podcast playing while I was reorganizing the garage (again).
I stuck the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker to the fridge as we brought in groceries.
Although I didn’t take it out, the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker snaps easily to my e-bike.
Listened to an e-book while sorting out my tool chest.
It’s a little chilly now, so I didn’t get to test out the flotation and waterproofing, but I’m confident it works!
I can see some other uses:
- maybe attached to a golf cart
- stuck to the underside of a car hood while doing maintenance
- using a carabiner attached to a backpack
Overall, the AGM MagROCK Portable Bluetooth Speaker is a super handy way to listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks!
