REVIEW – I am in the process of building a new network room in my basement that will contain all of the network infrastructure equipment for my quite elaborate network. There will be PDUs, multiple switches, NASs, routers, etc. Since the room is in an isolated area in my basement, I would like to be immediately aware of any fire alert, fumes, eta. Since I may not frequent the room once it is fully functional, reliable remote monitoring of the environment would be ideal. This would be better supported by a device that is hardwired to AC with a battery backup. Enter the Place – Smart smoke and carbon monoxide alarm.
