Design and features
I have a different manufacturer’s steam mop, but with a separate hose, cord, wheeled heating unit, difficult-to-assemble nozzles, and a long heating time, it’s not my first choice for keeping my home spiffy clean. I have a cat, hardwood floors, and stainless steel appliances, and even with frequent cleaning, sometimes it’s necessary to bring out “the big guns” that a good steam cleaner can offer, so I was excited to receive FEPPO’s HD-QJ310 steam cleaner!
It arrived in a relatively large box, but the weight immediately impressed me. It’s much lighter than my old one! Woo!
There are multiple bits and pieces, but fear not intrepid Gadgeteer, all assemble with a few twists or snaps.
Five cleaning heads, a cloth cover, and mop inserts suit most cleaning duties.
The central unit has a removable water tank to get the ball rolling. It detaches by pressing the tabs on both sides.
The power cord is about 16 feet long and has a polarized plug.

I was very impressed with the heating time. The manual states 40 seconds, but I measured 28! My previous steam cleaner took about five minutes and needed to completely cool between fillings. The Feppo steam mop is a vast improvement!
A light flashes red when the system is heating. Green indicates it’s ready to make steam. It also flashes red and green if the water tank needs refilling.
FEPPO’s instructions repeatedly mention not losing the brass fitting in the steam nozzle. I suspect it won’t function without the fitting in place, so use caution. The good news is that it feels firmly pressed in place, so I don’t think it will pose much of an issue.
The two tubes attach to the nozzle, head attachment, and washable cleaning pad go on the end for floor leaning.
After heating, press the thumb switch on the handle to dispense steam. A click up locks the steam on. Friends, please be careful when using this product. It’s profoundly hot and will burn you, kids, and pets in a heartbeat. I can attest (not with the Feppo steam cleaner, but due to my carelessness reaching over a boiling jet of steam from a tea kettle) that it hurts like the dickens and will ruin your day.
I am a frequent cleaner, and the SwitchBot S10 floor cleaner runs four times a week. The FEPPO Steam Cleaner still managed to pick up this grub and grime in a single pass. Bravo, Feppo! The pad on the left is clean. I can see the dirt the FEPPO picked up on the pad on the right.
I was surprised at the inclusion of a window scraper. Many people don’t enjoy this job, but I can’t express the joyful difference it makes to have my windows cleaned! The attachment made the job effortless and without nasty chemicals.
I thought my windows were relatively clean, but look at the crud that the FEPPO cleaner dislodged in a few seconds. Wow!
If the central unit gets too heavy, use any cleaning heads with the hose. This arrangement worked well, but I tended to pull the cleaner over while focused on cleaning.
Next, I aimed the steam at stubborn stains on my stovetop. I was delighted with the ability to cut through the crusty stuff. Here are the before and after photos:
My wife is a clothes designer and seamstress and takes pride in presenting her creations pressed and neat. The FEPPO Steam Cleaner worked spectacularly well at removing wrinkles on hanging clothes. Excellent!
Final thoughts
The FEPPO Steam Mop Cleaner ships with many options, heats quickly, and is lightweight enough for my 4’10”, 85-pound wife to manage. I was impressed by the cleaning results, even on the stubborn stuff. Plus, not needing to use chemicals is fantastic! Thank you and great job, Feppo!
