REVIEW – Small form factor PCs have been around for years and have become more and more powerful as technology has continued to advance. Recently, I’ve been looking for a spare computer to use with my 3D printer and a laser engraver that have a fixed location. Up until now I’ve been using a laptop, but it’s inconvenient when I’m running a job that will take a few hours and I want to use the laptop for something else. Enter the KAMRUI E3B mini PC. It’s a small form factor PC with a surprising number of ports and options. Read on to see how it stacks up!

Design and features
This is a very small computer about the size of a compact disk if you’re looking down from the top and is only a couple of inches thick. I imagine it could be thinner, but then you would lose out on all the ports that they’ve managed to fit into this. That is truly one of the great things about this little computer, in my opinion. There are 6 USB-A ports, which seems to be one of the things I’m always running out of. There is only one USB-C port, but that’s okay for my current setup. Video output is all rated at 4K and it supports up to 3 video displays, but in order to do that you’ll need to use the HDMI, DP, and USB-C ports. I don’t have a 3 monitor display at the moment, so I didn’t exercise that functionality. I don’t love having to use three different cables to output, but if you need to, it can.
There is an option to install this to the back of a monitor with an included VESA mount and screws. I’m not currently using it in that configuration, but it is a nice option to have for future setups.
Installation, Setup
The setup of this PC is pretty much plug and play out of the box. You’ll need to go through the Windows 11 setup process, but that isn’t too intensive and nothing specific to this PC. The monitors, keyboard, and mouse I used all connected immediately and worked right away. There are the normal slew of updates, but nothing unexpected.
Performance
Right out of the gate, everything worked well and I have no qualms about its performance. That said, this is not a high-end gaming PC, but I don’t think that’s the demographic they’re shooting for with this product. Yes, you can game with this PC, but it’s not going to set any kind of speed records, as the benchmarks that I ran will show. That is still perfectly acceptable for my intents and uses of this PC. I was able to install Steam and it seems to load up most of my admittedly old games perfect fine.
I ran a benchmarking suite against the system and here are the results. Again, perhaps not a top-line result, but the system did meet my expectations and still ran everything I needed it to just fine.

Final thoughts
At this price point, the performance of this mini PC is fantastic. I have no complaints. It’s not a high-end gaming PC, but that is perfectly fine for how I’m using it. It runs all of the regular productivity software and office products I would expect with no significant lags or issues. Running benchmarks on it show that it’s not a titan of computing power by any means, but again, for a small form factor PC it meets my expectations well and I expect I’m going to use this quite a bit. I definitely recommend.
