REVIEW – Do you have to use dental floss? Maybe you have really crowded teeth and have problems getting the floss between your teeth. Maybe you’re lazy and think that brushing is enough. First of all, brushing alone is great, but not flossing shouldn’t be an option. Leaving food between your teeth that the brush doesn’t remove can cause tooth decay and even heart disease. Yikes! A water flosser is a great alternative to string floss and the Marchpower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser is one that I’m talking about today. Let’s see if it’s the best of both worlds.

What is it?

The Marchpower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser is both an electric toothbrush and an electric water flosser.

What’s included?

Design and features

The Marchpower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser is small enough to make it a nice travel companion. When you’re not using it, the 110ml water tank doubles as a protective cap.

When you remove the cap, you’ll see the two control buttons. The top button is the power button and the bottom button is the mode button.

A removable magnetic base attaches to the bottom of the device. When you remove it, you can see the electrical pins and the end of the water hose.

Of course, the first thing you’ll probably want to do is charge the Marchpower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser. To do this, you just place the device in the charging base, expose the USB-C port, plugin the included USB-C cable into the charging base, and an AC adapter (not included).

Note that I haven’t used this device long enough to learn how long the battery lasts between charges and how many sessions you can get per charge.

When it’s time to brush or floss your teeth, you pull the metal water house out of the main body, as shown in the image above.

Then you can fill the plastic cap with water and slide the bottom of the device into the cap.

When the device is fully charged, you can decide if you want to use the unit for brushing and flossing by using the combo brush, or…

You can just use the flosser tip.

Brushing and/or flossing with the MarchPower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser

Using this gadget for your dental hygiene tasks, isn’t difficult. I like that there’s a one press power button and that there are just three modes:

Normal – Daily use for deep cleaning
Soft – Gentle cleaning for sensitive teeth and gums
Pulse – For whitening

The device also has a memory function that will cause it to remember the last used mode when you use that mode for at least 120 seconds.

I started out this review process by using the MarchPower just for water flossing. Filling the water cup as full as possible only allowed me enough water to floss about 3/4ths of my teeth before it ran out of water. It’s easy to just remove the cup and refill it, but I do wish that the cup was slightly larger – or maybe I just need to floss faster! 😉

To help with this issue, MarchPower includes an extension hose that can connect to the bottom of the metal water tube. The other end can be inserted into a much larger cup of water.

At first, I didn’t even realize that the toothbrush heads had a built-in water flosser tip in the center of the brush. The tip sticks out of the brush about 3/16th of an inch. But don’t worry, it won’t get in the way of brushing because it’s a soft flexible tip. With the brush tip installed, you can floss and brush at the same time. However, it’s harder to position the flossing tip between your teeth when you use the brush tip. I prefer to use the dedicated flossing tip.

Using a water flosser does take a little getting used to. You hold the floss tip between your teeth so that the jet of water will spray between your teeth to dislodge any debris. I definitely notice that using a water flosser helps remove food particles easier than regular string floss.

But, maybe it’s just me… but the jet of water tickles the inside of my mouth and like I already mentioned above, the water runs out quickly. I think with practice I can floss all my teeth without needing refill. I also found using the combo brush for flossing to feel more awkward to use compared to using the dedicated flosser tip.

What I like about the Marchpower 2-in-1 Cordless Waterflosser

  • Easy to use
  • Can be used to brush AND floss at the same time
  • Includes 3 brush heads

What needs to be improved?

  • The cap doesn’t fit over the top for travel when a brush is installed
  • The cap needs to be slightly larger so it won’t need to be refilled in one session of flossing

Final thoughts

If you’ve been looking for a 2-in-1 dental cleaning option for brushing and water flossing, and small enough for travel, the Marchpower 2-in-1 cordless water flosser will do the job. It’s easy to use and includes everything you need to both brush and floss your teeth at the same time.
