REVIEW – I have reviewed a few Vosteed knives with the latest being the Vosteed Hedgehog which is a stout little knife and the Vosteed Parallel which is a more discrete and gentlemanly knife. The Vosteed Marten bridges the gap between the two nicely.
What is it?
The Vosteed Marten is the latest knife from Vosteed sporting a 2.98” drop point blade in 154CM steel and with super clean lines it has quickly earned its place as my daily carry. With CNC milled aluminum handles it weighs in at a scant 2.90 ounces but offers incredible grip and just a very pleasing aesthetic that I really like.

Design and features
The Vosteed Marten pocket knife utilizes a top liner lock and a very usable 2.98” drop point blade in 154CM steel. An excellent hard working steel that you don’t have to baby, 154CM is known for its excellent ease of sharpening, corrosion resistance, and edge retention.
The action is very smooth due to the caged ceramic ball bearings and opens quickly with the gray aluminum thumb studs or by just activating the top liner lock and flicking your wrist. The stainless steel button is grooved and easy to find even with gloves on.
The 3.81” aluminum handle is micro-milled with 20 grooves per inch (54 per side) and is super grippy. The grooves are angled at 48 degrees and provide superb grip without feeling rough. The skeletonized low-profile clip also provides great pocket retention and looks sleek. Oddly enough it isn’t flush with the handle but I didn’t have any issues with it catching even with thicker work pants.
For daily use, the grip is very comfortable with a finger groove in the blade as well as jimping on the top for your thumb. The drop point style blade is infinitely versatile at cutting rope, boxes, or ice cream cake when needed.
The Vosteed Marten is available in five different colors. Green or orange with a stonewashed blade, gray with a satin blade, purple with black stonewashed blade, and black with a copper color blade.

Final thoughts
The Vosteed Marten is the perfect option for a less obtrusive daily carry option. It’s the perfect size and lightweight enough for work or play. The grippy CNC milled handle and useful drop point blade still make it capable of tougher tasks. I’m a big fan of the top liner lock due to its ease of use and fidgetability and at only $99 the Vosteed Marten feels like a premium knife at a bargain price and adds a nice new addition to their lineup.
