NEWS – I reviewed the Ausom Leopard electric scooter last year and loved it despite some minor quibbles. Ausom is releasing a new and improved version shortly called the Ausom Leopard DT1 Pro electric scooter, and it looks like it’s going to be a ton of fun to review (coming soon!). Upgrades on this model include double the motors (from one 1000 Watt to 2 x 1000W), a jump to a 52V system from the previous 48 volt, and a bump to the top speed while retaining nearly the same range. I can’t wait to tear around town on it (while definitely obeying all traffic laws) and see what it can do. Front and back suspension should mean I can even tackle some gravel/dirt trails, and rotor ABS brakes front and back should help if I push it to the top speed of 41 MPH and need to slow down quickly. One of my minor complaints last time was the low headlight placement which looks to have migrated upwards on this model. Stay tuned!
