Design and features
The SONGMICS hamper is available in five color options and three different sizes. For this review, I received the chestnut brown color in the largest size, the 90L (23.8 gallon). This color is a multi-tonal dark brown, which I find more appealing in person than online.
Other color options the SONGMICS hamper is available in, besides chestnut brown, are black, cloud white, dove grey and goose yellow. Note, these are the names given to the colors on Amazon, on the SONGMICS website they are referred to as brown, black, white, grey and natural, but appear to be the same colors. With all these color options, you are bound to find that works for your aesthetic and style.
The 90L (23.8 gallon) option, like the one I received, is 18.1″L x 13″W x 23.6″H. The smaller options are a 55L (14.5 gallon) model, 18.1″L x 7.9″W x 24″H and a 65L (17.2 gallon) model, 13.4″L x 13.4″W x 23.6″H. All options are handwoven with the same breathable synthetic rattan on a study steel frame, collapsible, have lids and washable liners and are on 4 silica gel feet.
The first thing that caught my eye was the handwoven design, the SONGMICS hamper has that classic hamper woven look, but made with breathable synthetic rattan which is said to be waterproof, so great for using in bathrooms. The sturdy steel frame, which is rustproof , ensures that it maintains its shape while standing upright, even when empty and is built so the whole hamper is collapsible, so you could fold it flat for convenient storage when not in use.
Some other notable features of the SONGMICS hamper are the lid and protective feet. The hamper sits on silica gel feet, to protect your floor from scratches and the lid, which closes seamlessly, helps keep the laundry from wafting out.
Inside you will find a washable natural colored removable liner. Whether you have to go 5 feet or drive to the laundry mat, the removable liner makes it easy to transport your laundry back and forth to your laundry destination. I also love that the liner ties onto the hamper base, so it doesn’t slide down when filled.
The 90L model of the SONGMICS handwoven laundry hamper boasts an impressive capacity, easily accommodating a week’s worth of laundry or could also be used for storing toys or other items if you wish. It is advertised to be able to hold up to 55 pounds, and although I have not tested this limit, it does hold a whole lot of clothes. The spacious interior allows for ample storage, and I love that it has a wide opening at the top, making it easy to toss in clothes without making a mess.
Assembly
The SONGMICS Handwoven Laundry Hamper came package nicely to protect from damage during shipping and ready to assemble. The manual is through and has photos that walk you thru the essentially 5 steps of assembly. All tools and hardware need to assemble are included which a few extra spare parts.
STEP 1: Line up the 2 pieces making sure the handles are both facing up
STEP 2: Insert the 2 missing screws and screw in place with the provided tool.
STEP 3: Turn over the hamper to the bottom. Screw in the missing 2 screws with the silica gel feet with the provided tool.
STEP 4: Turn the hamper back upright with the silica gel feet on bottom and insert the washable liner with the ties facing the lid side and slide the untied pieces around the lid hardware (as pictured).
STEP 5: Tie the liner in place.
The whole process took less than 10 minutes and was simple and easy with the manual directions and included tool that was needed for assembly.

I had LOADS of fun with this review and recommend this product if you are on the hunt for a new hamper solution. In fact, I like it so much I think I’m going to purchase the 130L SONGMICS Laundry Hamper featuring 2 sections for sorting, but in the grey color, because that is the color I really wanted.
