REVIEW – I hate ironing, but every weekend I iron my clothes for work. Many years ago, I used a traditional iron until I decided to look for an easier for what is a tedious task for me, and I have been using a Steamer ever since. I started with a large floor-standing Steamer but over time that seemed to be inconvenient if I needed to iron somewhere else in the house. I switched to handheld portable steamers and have been using one ever since. I am always looking for the opportunity to try other portable steamers just in case there is something out there that is better than the one I am using. Let’s see how this Choiana Clothes Steamer performs.

The Choiana Clothes Steamer is lightweight and made mostly of plastic. It features a rotating head with outlets for the steam on the surface. The water reservoir is in the handle and the power button is on the back of the handle. The power cord is built in.
Setup
It is very easy to set up the Choiana Clothes Steamer and get it ready to steam. Once you remove the water reservoir from the base, there is a rubber flap at the top that you open to fill it. I use distilled water as recommended. You then close the flap, insert the reservoir back into the handle, and plug in the AC cord. When you push the power button, the steam flows shortly thereafter.
Performance
The Choiana Clothes Steamer is lightweight and easy to use. It heats up quickly and you get a good amount of steaming time from each refill. It is easy to use and it does a good job at removing wrinkles and leaving a “pressed” look. I do find that it does not produce as much steam as the other handled steamer that I have been using, but with patience, it does a good job.
Warning: The rotating steam head gets hot when steaming, so don’t do as I did and try to rotate it with your bare hands while it is in use. Ouch!!!

What needs to be improved?
- It should have a bit more steam pressure to remove wrinkles quicker
Final thoughts
The Choiana Clothes Steamer is lightweight and portable and a good option for ironing when traveling or away from home. I also like how it works in the horizontal mode for steaming pants. It is a nice device to own and carry in my travel bag.
