REVIEW – Some of my friends think that I am going a bit overboard when it comes to security around my home, but I don’t think so. When I sit in my office/studio, I like to be able to see 360 degrees around my home and to be alerted when someone is near. I also like to be able to have the same view when away. I am always looking for security systems that come with cameras that provide pristine video and those that include a network video recorder so that I can playback footage if I ever need to. I think that the ANRAN 3K 5MP POE security camera system will fit nicely into my grand plan.

The ANRAN 3K 5MP POE security camera system features a small lightweight Network Video Recorder that can accommodate up to 8 POE cameras. This sample came with a 2 TB hard drive, but it can accommodate up to a 4 TB hard drive. This sample also came with 4 POE cameras that can accept a micro SD card as well as record via the NVR. The NVR is vented and can be mounted.
Setup
Setting up the ANRAN 3K 5MP POE security camera system involves mounting the cameras, running the network cables back to the NVR, and then following the on-screen prompts to set up the NVR. Here are some photos of some of the screens:

Performance
The ANRAN 3K 5MP POE security camera system is great and it continues to perform well. First, I installed a camera:
Then I ran the ethernet cables back to the NVR and made the connections.
The video that is displayed via the HDMI monitor that I am using is great. (The video in the right frame is a camera that I am testing indoors before I mount it outdoors)

Overall, the ANRAN 3K 5MP POE Security Camera System met all of my security needs, and I will likely be replacing a pre-existing system with this one. The video is pristine, the audio is great, and the detection and notification features work well. It also has options that I do not currently use but may enable depending on the situation. The only issue that I periodically encounter is that sometimes when I receive an alert and I check the playback via the app, it starts at a different point in the recorded video and not at the point that shows what the notification was for. This only happens once in a while. Otherwise, I have no complaints, I do wish it came with the 4 TB hard drive since I will be connecting all 4 of the included cameras and possibly 4 more in the future.

The ANRAN 3K 5MP POE Security Camera System is a fantastic security system that offers all of the features and bells and whistles that I need. The video quality is great and the 24 x 7 x 365 recording is exactly what I need. Well done.
