REVIEW – When it comes to gadgets, I always prefer multi-purpose ones. I never really thought about my drink containers – until I saw the Ringo Tripod Bottle. I had to have it.
What is it?
The Ringo Tripod Bottle is a high-performance water bottle with a MagSafe lid that doubles as a tripod/phone holder.

Design and features
The Ringo Bottle arrived in an attractive, easy-to-open box. As far as the bottle portion goes, it’s a pretty standard stainless steel bottle. The magic comes from the screw-on lid that features a hinged portion that contains magnets. The MagSafe-compatible ring securely holds MagSafe-compatible iPhones and tablets.
If you don’t have an iPhone, the Ringo Bottle comes with the Ringo Magnetic Booser Ring for non-MagSafe devices. This ring adheres to any device to provide a secure connection.
I was very excited to try out the Ringo Bottle. I had a few primary uses in mind. The Ringo excelled at all of them.
My primary use intention was for recording videos in tight spaces. In particular, instances where I need to have my hands in view with the phone between me and the object I’m recording. This worked great.
Previously I would use either my large tripod with a long extension arm or a table-top tripod. Both of those presented problems in either keeping the tripod out of view or simply being in the way.
The Ringo Tripod Bottle has a minimal footprint and stays out of the way just about as much as is physically possible.
My second use is to hold my phone in my truck. I have not had much luck keeping phone mounts stuck to my dash, and there’s just not a good spot on the vents. The second cup holder in the center console is the perfect spot for the Ringo to hold my phone.
My other use was to simply hold my phone on my garage workbench, without fear of it getting a tool dropped on it or something spilled on it. Of course, the number of other applications is endless.
The Ringo Bottle holds your device in portrait or landscape orientations. With the full 90-degree hinge range and 360-degree rotation, it provides a great range of motion.
The top also doubles as a carry handle. Whether you want to carry it or clip it to a carabiner, this lid will do the trick.
Available in Black, Ivory, Steel, and Orange as well as 24oz and 32oz versions. The Ringo bottle keeps liquids hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. It’s BPA-free and dishwasher-safe.
What I like

Clever dual purpose ring. Nice for vehicles that don’t have Apple Car Play (or Android equivalent). But I like drinking from my water bottle during long drives. Hmm
