Infinacore3 WayCharger 10Design and features

The Infinacore T3 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station consists of three charging pads connected by a flexible strip that allows it to be folded up into a stack. Available in Polar White or Midnight Black (I was sent the white), it unfolds to reveal a center flip-out Apple Watch charging area, and a MagSafe/Qi2 charging area on either side. Power arrives via a USB-C port on the edge of the watch pad.

Each pad is 2.625” square and .375” thick. One has the Infinacore logo and a raised platform that doubles its thickness. This would be for your phone with that large camera bump. The other one (silk-screened with a device and earbuds) is flat. The unit weighs 4.75 ounces (134 grams), so you’re not going to really notice it in your pocket or bag.

LEDs on the two side panels glow when an item is charging. On the watch panel, there are two strips of LEDs, one on either side of the watch between the other pads. In a fantastic touch of innovation, Infinacore has added a button on the watch panel labeled with a yellow light bulb and a silk-screened outline that says “Toggle.” Touch it, and the lights no longer blind you while it’s on your nightstand charging your gear! Choice is always welcome.

Performance

I plugged the Infinacore T3 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station into a USB meter, and it consistently delivered about 9 volts. This remained the same when charging three devices, two, or just one. I tried with several different cables and power sources, and the range was from 8.99V to 9.17V.

Currently, when you register your warranty (two years) using the in-package QR code, they send you an additional cable and a 20-watt charger that looks identical to Apple’s. That’s a $40 value, just for filling in a web form. I have lost count of how many of these I have littered about my house and bags, but I never have one on hand when I need it. Getting an extra one for that cafe bag you only use sometimes is a no-brainer.

Final thoughts

Wireless charging rocks, IMHO. The iPhone 8 Plus was my first with Qi, and I’ve only used wireless more since getting it. But too many folks think their device is going to charge faster, or even as fast as, a wired connection. This is not true. But it is vastly more convenient, and you can just plop your device on the pad and go about your business. MagSafe makes that even easier by lining up the internal coils between the charger and your device. The Infinacore T3 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station provides all the needed places in a single configurable stack. I do wish the watch was on one of the ends, rather than in the middle so I could use it more easily, but I’m over the moon that they thought to include a toggle for the LEDs. No more gaffer tape! (That’s usually what I use to block the light out for less well-thought-out pieces of tech.)

I also like the usage of the inner packaging for the instructions and linking to warranty registration. Although they did include a redundant sheet in the box, at least it isn’t printed in 4-point type on tissue paper in grey ink! The QR code on the device linking to support may never be used, but kudos for putting it there.
