NEWS – Android Authority has reported that the Bullitt Group is shutting down. The Bullitt Group was the maker of CAT and Moto-branded rugged phones. Several CAT rugged phones like the CAT S22 Flip Phone have been reviewed here over the years, but we won’t see more.
Rugged phones are known for being tough, often highly water resistant and drop resistant, and many have large batteries. But these phones are notorious for not receiving security or OS updates after they are released. Could this be one of the issues bringing this brand to an end? Let’s discuss this in the comments below.

I suppose that means the end of the Defy Satellite Link product and service. Worked for me 2 days ago.
You may be okay Bill. The company says it is going to focus on its other lines of business, just not cell phones.
Sorry Bill, I misspoke. (multi-tasking disfocus) It does look like the company is over and done. More reported here today:

Fortunately the Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro is alive and well, with the 7 arriving. My 6 gets Android and OneUI updates.

My Cat S62 suddenly died on 17 Oct while charged ~50% and walking & listening to a music channel. Nothing. No charging, no lights, the headset didn’t even disconnect though my Garmin watch did.
