NEWSAndroid Authority has reported that the Bullitt Group is shutting down. The Bullitt Group was the maker of CAT and Moto-branded rugged phones. Several CAT rugged phones like the CAT S22 Flip Phone have been reviewed here over the years, but we won’t see more.

Rugged phones are known for being tough, often highly water resistant and drop resistant, and many have large batteries. But these phones are notorious for not receiving security or OS updates after they are released. Could this be one of the issues bringing this brand to an end?     My Cat S62 suddenly died on 17 Oct while charged ~50% and walking & listening to a music channel. Nothing. No charging, no lights, the headset didn’t even disconnect though my Garmin watch did.
