REVIEW β A few weeks ago, my better half saw a spin scrubber online and asked if I ever got them for review. I said yes, and she said, next time, will you get one so I can try it for cleaning the bathtub. I said sure and now youβre reading my review of the qimedo 1200 RPM electric spin scrubber. Letβs go!
What is it?
The qimedo is a 1200 RPM electric spin scrubber that uses a rechargeable battery for easy cordless scrubbing.
Whatβs in the box?
- qimedo 1200 RPM electric spin scrubber
- 4 soft bristle brushes
- 4 replaceable cloth brushes
- Battery pack
- Battery charger
- Wall bracket
- User manual
Design and features
Before you can use the qimedo 1200 RPM electric spin scrubber, you have to assemble it. But donβt worry, itβs not difficult and no tools are needed. The spin scrubber has 3 sections/parts or 4 if you include the battery pack.
Thereβs the handle with the battery socket and power button, the center section, and the actual motor/spinner section at the end.
Each checker plugs into the other section with a 2 prong plug.
Once each section is connected, you can tighten the collar to secure the pieces.
The next step is to charge the battery using the included AC adapter/charger that plugs directly into the battery.
LEDs on the end of the battery allow you to easily see the charge level.
The battery snaps into the slot on the back of the handle, just like with the battery-powered chainsaws that weβve been reviewing lately.
The next step is to attach the brush that you want to use for your cleaning task. The brushes press on to the end of the scrubber.
And now weβre almost ready to clean.
Note that the handle of the of the qimedo spin scrubber can extend for hard to reach spots or if youβre really tall.
If youβre short or donβt need a long handle, you can remove the center section and attach the top and bottom parts to make the spin scrubber shorter.
In addition to customizing the length, you can also customize the angle of the brush head.
It can be set to completely straight, at a 45-degree angle, and halfway between.
Letβs spin and scrub!
The whole plan for the qimedo spin scrubber was for Jeanne to use it to clean the bathtub in our main bathroom. She cleans the tub each weekend by getting down on her hands and knees and scrubbing it by hand. We thought this tool could help make that job a lot easier. But thereβs something important to know before you use the qimedo to clean your tub or shower. Depending on the material of your tub/shower, the brushes included with the qimedo spin scrubber could leave scratches. When Jeanne saw the brushes in the qimedo kit, she immediately thought that it might not be the best idea to use the tool for our tub and shower. When we remodeled that bathroom several years ago, we had a new Sterling tub and shower surround installed, which is made of Vikrell. According to her plumber brother, youβre not supposed to use anything abrasive on it. Darn it! So I tested the qimedo spin scrubber using the sponge attachment (you can watch me clean in the video below).
Of course, if you have tile or ceramic, you can use the brushes with the qimedo with no issues/concerns.
I told Jeanne to skip cleaning the shower/tub for two weeks so that the soap could build up for a good test. The image above shows nasty rings from shampoo bottles after two weeks of not cleaning. Yuck right?
And hereβs the same area after using the qimedo spin scrubber and some scrubbing bubbles cleaner. It cleaned really well exceptβ¦
The qimedo spin scrubber didnβt clean off the rust spots from leaving a metal can of shaving cream on the ledge.

What Iβd change

Final thoughts
The qimedo 1200 RPM electric spin scrubber works as advertised. For the price, itβs a good deal. As long as you are aware of potential scratching depending on the material that you are cleaning, this scrubber can make cleaning bathrooms and other areas easier.

So does the Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner remove those rust spots easily when scrubbed by hand? If that’s also difficult perhaps another cleaning product might be better for those – or a small silicone mat for under the metal container to avoid them on the tile.
Nope, the scrubbing bubbles does not remove the rust rings. I think Jeanne uses bleach on them. I don’t know… She’s always the one who cleans the tub/shower every week. π
