REVIEW – I make no secret of being a massive fan of Nomad’s Apple accessories. The company recently sent me a few iPhone 15 Series Cases and Screen Protector samples to try out.
What is it?
The Nomad Sport Case is a thoughtfully designed iPhone case featuring grippy bumpers and a high gloss finish.
The Nomad Rugged Case is an iPhone case designed to protect your iPhone from all angles. It has a durable polycarbonate frame and fortified corner bumpers.
The iPhone 15 Series Screen Protector uses highly durable tempered glass that protects your iPhone screen from scratches without sacrificing screen sensitivity or visibility.
Design and features
Nomad Sport Case
I reviewed this case’s iPhone 14 Pro Max version last year and thought it was the perfect everyday case. This year’s version remained pretty much the same. The only things that changed were the color selection and adding a button cover for the 15 Pro Max’s newly added action button. The case is available in Black, White, Super Blue, and Coastal Rock. I chose White to match my White Titanium 15 Pro Max. The color looks really nice, especially with the high gloss finish. In addition to looking good, the finish provides a surprising amount of grip to the backplate yet still allows your iPhone to easily slide into your pocket. The Sport Case features a shock-absorbing TPU bumper and a raised camera ring for protection. One of my favorite things about the Sport Case is its aluminum buttons, which look and feel more like the iPhone’s actual buttons. In conclusion, the Nomad Sport Case is a fantastic choice for an everyday iPhone case. If you want a great-looking minimalistic case that perfectly complements your iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Nomad Sport Case is it.
Nomad Rugged Case
Unlike the Sport Case, the Nomad Rugged Case is, well, Rugged. For protection, it sports a durable polycarbonate frame and fortified corner bumpers. Raised corner bumpers allow your iPhone to lay flat on any surface while providing additional protection for its camera. The matte PET backplate comes in 3 colors: Black, Orange, and Atlantic Blue. I chose Orange to go with the Nomad Rugged Band that I purchased for my Apple Watch. The colors match perfectly, and I love the look of the Rugged Case’s matte finish.
Like the Sport Case, the Rugged Case has those great Anodized aluminum buttons. The Rugged case has an integrated array of ultra-thin Nickel-plated Neodymium magnets to maximize MagSafe functionality and facilitate fast charging.
In addition to the usual charging port and speaker cutouts, the Rugged Case has dual lanyard attachment points. Despite its more bulky appearance, the Rugged Case remains remarkably lightweight. Overall, I was impressed with the Rugged Case. I like the extra protection it provides, especially when I’m outdoors. The Nomad Rugged Case is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a case with that bit of extra protection.
Nomad Screen Protector
The Nomad iPhone 15 Series Screen Protector is designed to provide impact and scratch protection without sacrificing screen sensitivity or visibility. It’s made using highly durable Japanese-made tempered glass. An Oleophobic coating on the glass helps to reduce smudging. Each Screen Protector is custom-cut for a precise fit and edge-to-edge protection. The Screen Protector includes two screen protectors & screen cleaning and alignment tools. The short video below shows the installation process.
The process is easy to follow. However, I had issues with bubbles under the screen protector. I tried redoing the process with the second included screen protector but ran into the same problem. Nomad was kind enough to send me a second set, thinking that the first was defective. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. I got the best results on my fourth attempt. I was able to get rid of the bubbles, but the bottom edge of the screen protector would not adhere to the screen.
As for the screen protector itself, it’s as advertised. It gives my iPhone edge-to-edge protection and perfect touch sensitivity. The coating on the protector does an excellent job of cutting down on annoying smudging. And the tempered glass definitely seems durable.
In conclusion, the Nomad iPhone 15 Series Screen Protector is yet another quality product from the company. However, because of my issues with the application process, I must give it a failing grade.

Final thoughts
Both the cases Nomad sent me are fantastic. Nomad knows how to make functional, great-looking cases that do an outstanding job of protecting your iPhone. If you don’t have a Nomad case in your collection, what are you waiting for?
The Nomad iPhone 15 Series Screen Protector is a well-made product that delivers when it comes to protection and functionality. However, the application process leaves a lot to be desired. If Nomad cleans this up, they will have another recommendable Apple accessory to add to an ever-growing list.

That Nomad Sport Case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max looks fantastic in white. I can’t find it anywhere currently and it’s sold out on nomad’s website. Bummer.
