CROWDFUNDING REVIEW – I am a gadget nerd, with an obsession with tech devices and I crave devices that offer convenience and flexibility. Any PC that I use always has numerous devices attached and usually I am working with 2 or 3 phones next to me that always need charging at some point. Having a convenient and capable docking station that offers connectivity and charging capabilities with Power Delivery is a good fit for me. This Mobfree Superdock: All-in-One Wireless Docking Station with AC Outlets looks like it can work for me. Let’s see!!

What is it?

The Mobfree Superdock: All-in-One Wireless Docking Station with AC Outlets is a 9-in-1 Docking Station that features a 7.5W MagSafe charger stand, 2 USB-A ports, a 65W Type-C port, a 20W Type-C port, 4K HDMI, 2 AC outlets and Gigabit Ethernet. A 2-in-1 wireless double-sided charger is included with the docking station. The charger can charge iWatch and Samsung watches.

  • Unlike other multi-port chargers, each of SuperDock‘s USB output ports has its own electric circuit, which means that you can charge four devices simultaneously without power interruption or throttling its speed.
  • The 2-in-1 wireless charger can  Apple Watch (2nd gen to 8th gen), Samsung Watch (1st gen to 5th gen), and AirPods Pro 2.

The Mobfree Superdock: All-in-One Wireless Docking Station with AC Outlets is solidly built from a number of different materials that likely include plastic, ABS, and metal. It has enough weight to stay put on your desk and feels really sturdy in your hand. The ports are on the front and back of the device, with the wireless charge at an angle on the top. The wireless charger is able to magnetically attach to your phone. On the front, there are 2 x USB-A ports and 2 x USB-C ports below with one of the USB-C ports being a Power Delivery port. On the back, there is an ethernet port, an HDMI port, and 2 AC ports.

Performance

This Mobfree Superdock: All-in-One Wireless Docking Station with AC Outlets is plug and play. I tested it with various configurations of connectivity with my devices. The first photo below shows the basic wireless charging function.

For this next test, I plugged in my Arzopa 15.6″ 4K monitor and ACEMagician Mini PC to the AC ports on the back of the dock. On the front of the dock, I used the USB-C port on the left to connect the dock as a hub to my mini PC also using the USB-C port on my mini PC. I then plugged in a flash drive to one of the USB-A ports, and as you can see in the second photo below, I was able to access the files on the flash drive.

I also performed additional testing with the ethernet port and the HDMI port and they both work without a hiccup. I was experiencing an issue with the tethering function on my Android phone so I was not able to test that. MobFree also includes a double-sided watch charger, but since I only use and wear mechanical automatic watches, I could not test that either. The following is a photo of the watch charger attached.

What I like

  • It is well built
  • It offers enough power for charging and powering multiple devices
  • The wireless charging works great
  • Its design and capabilities offer flexibility

What I’d change

  • It does what it is designed to do

Final thoughts

The Mobfree Superdock: All-in-One Wireless Docking Station with AC Outlets is a really nice and convenient device to have. It is handy as a hub attached to your computer while allowing you to charge your phones and/or other mobile devices. The fast charging via the wireless charger works well and the Power Delivery USB port allows me to power my mini PC eliminating the need for the AC adapter. However, if I want to use the PC’s AC adapter, this hub has 2 AC ports built in. Recently, I have been using it not attached to my PC but in my media room on my side table to keep devices powered and connected while charging my call. I give this device a well done!!

  1. Gadgeteer Comment Policy - Please read before commenting
  2. The power outlets, and input, are very US centric, with no option to change the power outlets and input, to another country’s power supply/plugs, which is what I would expect of a “global” company.

I would expect a better review from you, at least mentioning the (lack of) options available.
