ARTICLE – In March, we reviewed Govee’s LED smart outdoor floodlights. And yesterday they helped us out in an unexpected way: To decorate our truck for our first-ever “trunk or treat.”
We were charged with decorating our cars to hand out candy for my son’s marching band. It would be dark, and we didn’t have access to plug-in power (and didn’t want to leave the truck running). I looked to our Gadgeteer goodies for inspiration.
I remembered the Govee LED lights had all sorts of fun settings, including a theme for Halloween. The lights also “dance” to music, if you give the app access to your mic.
For power, we plugged the lights into our Growatt Infinity 1500 power station, which we put in the back seat and plugged in through the back window. We hid extra cords with a blanket.
It worked great! From about 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., we had the lights going, and it was very festive. I’ll definitely set these up on our front porch Monday for the trick-or-treaters, along with my Tribit StormBox portable speaker blasting a spooky playlist.
