NEWS – How do you carry your EDC gear? Do you put everything in your pockets? In a gear bag? Hanging from a belt pouch? If you don’t want to have lumpy pockets, bulky gear bags, or look like Batman with his utility belt, then check out these 5 interesting EDC tools that can be worn like jewelry.
1. Wazoo Bushcraft Fire Starter Necklace
Made in the USA, this unisex necklace not only looks cool but also allows you to use it to start a fire. The pendant is a pure white or black Zirconia (ZrO2) Ceramic striker that you use with the Ferrocerium barrel toggle to create sparks and ultimately, a fire!
Price: $27.00 – $31.00
Where to buy: The Wazoo Bushcraft Fire Starter Necklace is available from Amazon
2. Wazoo Viking Whetstone Necklace
This is another necklace, also from Wazoo, also made in the USA, and it comes with a lifetime warranty. The Viking Whetstone can be used to maintain the edge on knives, saws, fish hooks, spearpoints, and more.
Price: $46.90
Where to buy: The Wazoo Viking Whetstone Necklace is available from Amazon
3. ECBANLI car window breaker bracelet
This one is a bracelet with a function that you won’t use every day but it can come in handy if you happen to be trapped inside a car and need to break the window to get out. The ECBANLI car window breaker bracelet is an elastic band with a small tungsten carbide bead. When you snap the bead against glass, that glass will break! How’s that for an easy-to-use escape tool?
Price: $9.99 – $15.99
Where to buy: The ECBANLI car window breaker bracelet is available Amazon
4. A2S LEDway Paracord 6-in-1 Survival Bracelet
Paracord bracelets aren’t new. But I think the A2S LEDway Paracord 6-in-1 Survival Bracelet is a little better than some others I’ve seen because it has a built-in LED flashlight that can be used as an SOS beacon. There’s also a fire starter, a whistle, and a compass. Don’t forget the bracelet itself is made out of 12 feet of 7-strand paracord which is great to have in an emergency situation.
Price: $15.99
Where to buy: The A2S LEDway Paracord 6-in-1 Survival Bracelet is available from Amazon
5. HECERE NFC Ring
The HECERE ring doesn’t have a built-in knife or flashlight, so some of you may not consider it to be an EDC tool. But what this zirconia ceramic ring does have, is an embedded NFC (Near Field Communications) tag that can be programmed to perform a variety of functions/tasks such as making a call, launching an application, sharing contact info, opening a web page, and much more. For more info and ideas about how to use this type of jewelry, check out my NFC Ring reviews and an article that I wrote about controlling your phone with NFC tags.
Price: $20.80
Where to buy: The HECERE NFC Ring is available from Amazon

Saltwater eats ferrocerium. Wearing the Wazoo item as a necklace will inevitably result in it coming in contact with the wearer’s perspiration. Please see https://www.edcforums.com/threads/why-is-my-ferro-rod-corroding-and-can-i-stop-it.95742/
Thanks for letting us know about this potential issue!
Have you checked out the WAZOO Cache Belt? It comes with anti-theft protection for various EDC tools.
Here’s their listing on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Anti-Theft-Survival-Approved-Military-Stainless/dp/B08DL6JP9Z?ref_=ast_sto_dp. (Curious what you’re thoughts are on the reliability of it as an anti-theft tool.)
Thanks for sharing that link. Looks like it would do the job!
