CROWDFUNDING NEWS – It’s time for me to tell you about a new batch of interesting crowdfunded campaigns. Today I have 4 campaigns from Kickstarter that range from a scanning accessory for 3D printing enthusiasts, a unique EDC item, and more. Enjoy!

Revopoint MINI 3D Scanner

What is it?

The Revopoint MINI 3D Scanner is a professional grade portable 3D scanner that uses a high resolution industrial-grade blue light that provides 0.05mm point distance, 0.02mm high precision, and scanning speeds of 10fps.

Why do I like it?

revopoint mini

I like the Revopoint MINI 3D Scanner because this scanner is so precise that you can use it to make highly detailed jewelry and other intricate models. It’s like having your own replicator from Star Trek!

Compared with traditional scanners, blue light scanners deliver more accurate results with high resolution and less distortion. The MINI is released to better reach professional practitioners and consumers in related industries, such as the scenarios of reverse engineering, industrial measurement, jewelry design, and other professional areas. Plus, blue light scanners are less sensitive to ambient light, achieving greater detail even in lighted environments, resulting in more accurate 3D modeling at the touch of a button. The 3D point cloud maps the object surface at a point distance of 0.05mm and delivers super-detailed 3D models with an accuracy of 0.02mm, precise enough for professional inspection and analysis.

Here at The Gadgeteer, we are already familiar with Revopoint scanners because we just recently reviewed the Revopoint Pop 2 3D high-precision scanner. If you’re serious about your 3D printing hobby, this scanner could make your models even better.
